January 17 I've returnedI haven't come here for about one and a half month. The main reason is that I must spend as much time as I can on the exams so that I can pass. Well,during this period,a lot of things happened,among which the most important one is that every day I would learn one text from NCE 3 and then try to recite it. In this way,I found many mistakes I used to make in my pronounciation.But it seems that my writing hasn't got improved as I expected.Maybe this need more time and patient. December 02 Part time job 2My first job finished at last the day before yesterday.This job gave me chances to communicate with many foreigners for what I do during the exhibition was to offer services to international exhibitors on behalf of the organizor.Although when those foreigners found I was Chinese,they would prefer to use simple English and slow down their speaking speed,this experience still means a lot to me.
I also found it a little bit stupid that I strenghed that I have passed TEM-8 when I took the interview of this job.Most people working in CMP(the organizor of the exhibition) are from Hongkong or abroad and I felt that they treat English almost as their first language.So of couse they don't know what is CET or TEM. Now I know that people whose English are fluent wouldn't use a certificate to prove.
Since I will have many exams in early January,I won't do part time job this month.So now what I apply is internship during the winter vocation which can last longer.Still, best wishes to myself! November 21 Part time jobYesterday I got my my first part-time job.The position I applied for is interpreter in an exhibition. However,It turned out that I have overestimate my English level because at last I just got a position as an "operation assistant",the pay of which is just half of interpreter.Well,I still remember the joy I had when I passed TEM-8.But now I know that TEM-8 means nothing to me.Sigh....... Anyway,getting this job does mean something to me for it's the first one I have got since I began to hunter in May and that's the very reason why I accepted this job although the position isn't the one I appllied for.It's such a long time before the first one came to me that I can't wait any longer.I hope this job can bring me some luck and make it easier for me to find other ones. November 16 NO TITLEI haven't update this space for quite a long time.The most important reason is the mid-term exam.Advanced micro,advanced macro and statistical inference,these three are really difficult for me.So I have to spend most of my time in the library during the passed two weeks and put this aside temporarily.Another reason is that I feel a little bit sad because I found my English is really poor (especially when I read Cohen's space) and doubt that whether I can improve my written English in this way. Actually,I have made a decision that I will try to recit the BOOK THREE of NCE and one of my roommate said he would join me.That's good, for if I just do this alone I know I would give it up very quickly. October 30 StockI am really excited now because I will begin to try my luck on the stock market this week.Speculating is really a hot topic nowdays and a large number of students around me have already bought stocks for months.A guy in my dormitory even do some gold investment............So,I just follow them.
The day before yesterday,I paid a visit to WangLei.As a professional investor,he did teach me a lot(although most of them appeared too hard to me) and give me some suggestions on stock-choosing,which is really a good help to me. B.T.W,Wang's skills on cooking is much better than I thought(actually,we finished the fish prepared by him and just threw away the ones cooked by me,sigh......),which tells us that practice makes perfect also works on cooking.
Well,I will open an account tomorrow and maybe do my first investment next week for I need the weekend to do some consinderation.Anyway,I wish myself a good luck and more important,a quick acquaitance with the stock market. October 28 About this spaceIt seems that I am a little bit out since most of the young people around me have their own blogs for years while I start one just now.Actually,I really didn't like blogs and didn't read them too much.In my opinion,diary is something private and if someone writes his or her diary for the purpose of showing ,the diary isn't worth reading for it's very likely untrue.And then similarly,I don't like blogs because they are public show of private life. However,Cohen's blog gave me an inspiration that having a blog can give me a chance to practise my English-writting and then I just followed him since I think it's a really good idea(It seems that I can always learn something from Cohen ,like how to play the magic cube P.S.:About the name of this space People who have read or watched "the lord of rings" will know that Shire is the hometown of Frodo. |
).Well,that's the very reason why I start this space and I hope it will give some help to my English-writting.
